Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales & Business Development Manager to drive global growth by identifying and converting opportunities for our cloud consulting and MSP services. This dual-role position requires a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen, client engagement experience, and a proven ability to close enterprise-level deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Identify and target potential enterprise clients across UK, EU, North America, and APAC.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote cloud consulting and MSP offerings.
- Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Build strong pipelines via outbound outreach, inbound nurturing, networking, events, and partnerships.
- Pre-Sales Engagement
- Engage with prospects to understand their cloud journey and tailor value propositions.
- Develop high-impact proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations with clear ROI narratives.
- Collaborate with delivery and solution architects to design tailored cloud solutions.
- Conduct discovery sessions, technical walkthroughs, and POCs (where applicable).
- Client Relationship Management
- Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers: CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Infrastructure.
- Act as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for pre-engagement queries and solutions.
- Maintain detailed account and opportunity data in CRM and provide regular forecast updates.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
- 5β8 years of experience in pre-sales, business development, or technical sales in IT services, preferably cloud and MSP.
- Proven track record of closing deals > $100K in consulting or managed services.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps practices, and security frameworks.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a start-up or fast-paced scale-up environment.
- Familiarity with MSP models, cloud SLAs, and managed support frameworks.
- Technical certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP Fundamentals, Solutions Architect, etc.) are a plus.
