The key to Cloudinary\’s success to date has been the developer community. More than two million developers have used and adopted our APIs and products, and we\’re looking for an experienced and charismatic leader for the team responsible for engaging with a variety of developer communities. You will guide a team of developer experience engineers and advocates to make a lasting impact with developers as they build images, videos and other media assets into their web and mobile apps. Your organization will be very code, content, and community-centric, whether building and delivering community SDKs, creating sample applications, delivering interactive workshops, creating short video tutorials, and engaging deeply with various communities and ecosystems. In addition, the team will engage closely with product management, R&D, and other internal teams to represent the overall developer experience as we introduce new features, capabilities, and products.

Responsibilities:

  1. Are passionate about attracting, teaching, and delighting developers at all levels of experience
  2. Understand how to engage with developer communities based on long-term trust
  3. Can think strategically, with long-term vision, while collaboratively building and executing plans that have short-term impact
  4. Have a good understanding of current web and mobile development trends that impact developer technology adoption
  5. Have a very collaborative working style
  6. Excel at empowering your teams with vision and strategy, delegating projects and responsibilities, and holding them accountable
  7. Enjoy coaching and growing people to their full potential
  8. Can work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders across the Cloudinary organization

About you:

  1. At least 4-5 years of experience in leading and building developer relations teams
  2. Have 10+ years of proven experience in developer relations activities
  3. Hold a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience in software development
  4. Deep experience in developer advocacy and community building
  5. Can recognize outstanding developer content and coach teams to build it
  6. Focused on impact
  7. Proven project management skills to lead teams to create goals and measure results
