At Cloudinary, we celebrate Life & Work. We believe in healthy growth, working with purpose, and creating meaningful value. If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters and your work truly makes an impact, this may be the opportunity for you. The web is visual and we’re looking for a developer advocate who possesses the skills, energy, passion, and commitment to join Cloudinary’s mission of empowering developers to build and deliver great image and video experiences.
Cloudinary’s Developer Relations team is looking for an experienced Senior Developer Advocate, a community-oriented, education-minded, experienced software engineer (preferably specialized in frontend web development) who strives to improve the DX of our image and video platform while educating and inspiring other developers via the curation of community and the creation and delivery of interactive content.
You will be primarily working with the following technologies:
- Web frontend languages and (meta) frameworks
- Potentially one or more backend languages/frameworks such as Node.js, Python, PHP, etc.
- APIs/SDKs for media management, CMS, DB, auth, etc.
- GitHub, CodeSandbox, and related software management tools
- Trends in Generative AI for Developer Relations
Successful candidates for this role are eager to build community via our new program, the Cloudinary Creators Community. They are also high-bar content creators with deep roots as software engineers. You understand developers because you have worked as an engineer, and empathise with what makes their lives easier, how they communicate, their wants, and their needs. You recognise great developer experience (or lack thereof) when you see it, and can take the initiative to help improve it. You will use your skills and talents to improve developer engagement with our image and video platform. You will be the internal and external champion of best practices that enable developer success with media technology in a variety of ecosystems (tools, frameworks, platforms, stacks) and implementation use cases. And you’ll have the opportunity to help us support developers globally through our community program.

- Support our presence at developer events, whether through booth participation, speaking opportunities, or other forms of developer engagement
About you
- 7+ years of experience in a DevRel or DevX role
- You have a long history of building technical content, code samples, tutorials, and speaking at events
- You’re comfortable building and working with global developer communities
- You’re able to create content without heavy reliance on AI, while understanding how to leverage these tools for productivity
- You’re a good writer and inclusive communicator
- You engage with various developer communities through podcasts, events, streams, and social media
- You’ve worked with internal product and engineering teams to shape development priorities that reflect developer feedback and input
- You work well with other DevRel or DevX team members to build joint projects
