Our Platform Engineers manage our infrastructure, environments, and tooling to enable developers to develop, testers to test and customers to use our services. Automation is at the heart of everything we do, providing speed, reliability, and consistency across the entire platform.

As a DevOps Support Engineer, you’ll be providing hands-on capability to build, operate and ensure our services are highly available, resilient, and performant for our customers and internal technology teams. This role is part of a career pathway within Engineering at Cloudhouse and will allow you to build on your knowledge within support and develop your skills within Cloudhouse and grow to be a full platform engineer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Entra ID / Azure AD administration — handling email management, password resets, system access management
  • Asset inventory management – equipment management
  • Building out our defender security posture
  • Microsoft Defender management
  • Outlook mail management
  • Application administration/licensing — managing enterprise-level apps
  • Basic platform day to day operational support and troubleshooting — pipelines, VMs, deployments
  • Documenting standard operating procedures
  • Looking at PowerShell and bash to automate repetitive tasks for users
  • Incident management and problem analysis

Requirements:

  • A solid understanding of Entra, Outlook and application management and licensing with Microsoft
  • An interest in automation, with an awareness of their practical applications
  • A desire to understand security best practices around public cloud platforms
  • A wish to understand Azure as a cloud and get hands on within the platform space

Mandatory Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge of Azure EntraID
  • Experience troubleshooting IT inventory management
  • Simple scripting language PowerShell, Python or Bash basic understanding
  • ITIL knowledge in support i.e. incident management and resolution
  • MS security management Defender Entra ID
  • Application administration seat licensing
  • Basic cloud infrastructure support
  • General IT troubleshooting: emails, passwords, meeting rooms

Desirable Competencies:

  • ITIL incident management
  • Experience with Terraform, GitOps or any more advanced DevOps topologies
  • Azure foundations
