At Cloudflare, we are on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world's largest networks that powers millions of websites and other Internet properties for customers ranging from individual bloggers to SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code.
As Product Manager for Cloudflare Spectrum, you will drive the strategy and roadmap for Cloudflare's industry-leading TCP/UDP proxy and Layer 4 security offering. Spectrum extends the power of our global network to protocols beyond HTTP/S, enabling customers to securely and reliably accelerate non-web applications like SSH, gaming servers, custom financial protocols, and IoT devices.
You will be responsible for identifying high-growth use cases, prioritising features that enhance performance, security, and developer experience, and ensuring Spectrum remains the most flexible and robust solution for proxying arbitrary TCP/UDP traffic at scale.
As Product Manager on the Spectrum team, you'll help shape a key part of our core product experience. This role requires a candidate who can navigate complex technical domains—from TCP/IP protocols and caching architectures to data analytics and user experience—and translate those into clear, marketable features. You will define the roadmap for one or more core services that impact every byte of traffic processed by Cloudflare.
What you'll do:
- Own your space. You will own the priorities and scope, partnering with a high performing engineering team focused on one of Cloudflare's Application Performance products.
- Connect the pieces. Product managers are a nerve center at Cloudflare, responsible for connecting engineering, program management, marketing, revenue, and partners to make sure that our ships go out on time and with the maximum impact.
- Excel across teams. Enterprise capabilities cut across all of our product verticals, so you should be comfortable working with product managers across the company to prioritise systemic improvements that our enterprise customers need.
- Be customer obsessed. You will be responsible for directly engaging with customers and understanding how they use our products. You'll bring these insights back to the team to build a great roadmap.
- Be data driven. You should be comfortable working with data, and analysing data to quantify the impact of problems and opportunities in your space.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, solutions engineering, or related roles
- Familiarity with designing or contributing to habit‐forming product experiences
- Experience defining and tracking KPIs to measure product or user behaviour impact
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with engineering and design teams
- Comfort operating in fast‐paced, evolving environments
- A passion for user empathy and delivering customer‐centric solutions
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Curiosity and a strong desire to learn technical topics, especially in security or observability
- Engineering fluency - while it's not required, we tend to find success with candidates who have a technical background, formal or otherwise.
- Prior experience as a Product Manager driving the roadmap for products focused on Edge infrastructure, high‐performance web delivery, or network optimisation
- Prior experience delivering cloud infrastructure products at global scale.
- Data fluency - Can you work directly with data yourself to build confidence in your views and can you use that same data to persuade others?
