We have two key existing products: Prospect Path, a customer acquisition platform that allows software companies to find best fit customers; and Software Path, a software comparison site that helps people find great software for their team.

Both are built using the Laravel PHP framework, React, Tailwind, and are hosted on AWS.

Automated testing and deployment are handled by Github.

You will work closely with everyone in the business from the start, using your technical skills to solve problems and collaborating with designers and user researchers to gather requirements and review work on building features.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Build features in their entirety, taking ownership from requirements gathering, planning, and implementation, through to seeing them benefit our team and customers.
  • Use the latest technologies, test and deploy code using modern scalable cloud platforms, and help innovate by discovering and adopting new tools.
  • Grow with us, contributing to the systems that enable our business and products to scale as the company expands.
  • This is You
  • You are happiest working in a remote-first environment.
  • You have experience gathering project requirements with internal stakeholders.
  • You have worked with the Laravel PHP framework.
  • You can effectively communicate your process and respond to feedback in a timely manner.
  • Experience with React for front-end development, and ideally Redux for state management.
  • You have experience testing and deploying product features.
  • You have implemented responsive front ends that meet modern accessibility standards based on designs created by a designer.
  • Interest in design systems and some experience applying them.
  • You use version control and are familiar with creating merge requests.
  • You have developed software as part of a team using an agile development methodology.
  • You are good at recognizing problems and solving them.
  • You enjoy building features independently and collaborating with teams to understand requirements, receive feedback on completed features, and grow your understanding of the business.
  • You enjoy learning about software design patterns and applying them to your work.

  • We are a living wage employer – we support our team’s well-being and want employees to enjoy their time inside work and out of it!
  • Tailored plan for personal progression in your role.
  • A knowledgeable, social, and purposeful team.

How to prepare for a job interview at CloudDevs

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If CloudDevs uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
