My client, a data centric global organization, are currently seeking a senior Cloud Architect with a breadth and depth of experience deploying enterprise solutions across a number of cloud technologies. Reporting to the director of Global Architecture, the successful candidate will join the London-based EMEA Technical Architecture team whilst working on technical Cloud strategy, the implementation of new SOA based product offerings and aiding with the evolution of existing product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Delivering Cloud services end-to-end, from requirements gathering and design, through to launch and ongoing maintenance.
- Strong infrastructure background.
- Solid understanding of Public and Private Cloud (both IaaS and PaaS) offerings.
- Integration of hybrid Cloud solutions, data and application security in those environments.
- Knowledge of HTTP/REST/SOA and distributed storage.
- Experience with Big Data or Data Warehousing solutions is ideal.
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- (Ideally) experience working with data warehousing and/or BI solutions and concepts.
- A strong understanding of infrastructure architecture principles.
- A demonstrable working knowledge of current IaaS/PaaS offerings (public and private).
- Current storage and storage transport technologies (ideally with experience around distributed storage).
- Current web technologies such as HTTP, SSL/TLS, DNS, WebSockets, etc.
- Current database technologies such as MySQL and Oracle (and ideally experience with NoSQL/BigData solutions such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB).
