From February 1st, I am spinning out GeoCompi.org from CloudAI Ltd as a new UK company. I’m open to joining forces with 1–3 director/founder‑level roles for colleagues ready to build a commercial R&D GeoLab grounded in the physical world. Our mission is to confront the most challenging roadblock in GeoAI: spatial heterogeneity, the inherent, complex uniqueness of every place on Earth. This variation is not noise; it is the core reason why GeoAI models fail to generalize. This is the challenge we choose to embrace.

This is a founder/director role. It is a transitional partnership designed to build a company. You begin with a commitment of 8 hours/week minimum as we finalize the venture structure and transition the GeoCompi platform from an alpha prototype to a minimum viable product (MVP). You must be able to be public about your role. You are investing capital to secure an equity stake of at least 5% (for £500) to join the core team from day one (skin in the game). You can earn up to 15% in additional equity through sweat equity or skin in the game for a maximum of 20% before external investment. For every £1,000 of skin in the game, I will dedicate one full-time month to building the venture.

You can be based in any country and hold any nationality; GeoCompi is as global as the world it maps. Directors of a UK company do not need to be UK residents. To formally incorporate the company and register you as a director and stakeholder, you must complete a standard UK government identity check. If you have a biometric passport and use the official "ID Check" app, this is a digital process typically completed in 1–2 days. This is a prerequisite for finalizing our partnership agreement.

CloudAI Ltd is the sovereign GeoLab I founded in London in November 2019. It served as the legal structure for my contract work across Europe and the UK, and as a platform for independent global research. CloudAI is not a traditional startup or academic wing; it is a bootstrapped research vehicle I used to refine a global mindset, scrutinize strategic markets, and deepen my empirical understanding of planetary-scale spatial heterogeneity.

The philosophy of PAAG (Planet as a GeoLab) is an epistemology born from 15+ years and 90+ countries of ground‑truth geospatial engineer/scientist level observations while exploring, researching, and working in countless places around the world from 2009 to the present. For me, every navigation app, transport system, street segment, completed itinerary, abandoned site, tourist flow pattern, retail location, digital screen, and urban layout was a geospatial data point.

In the digital world, we can bend reality: We can change a database schema. We can tweak a UI. We can rewrite an API. But the physical world is immutable: We can’t patch a coastline because the pixels aren’t aligned. We can’t resize a street to soothe an algorithm’s fear of jagged edges. We can’t stretch a river to resolve topological errors. The real physical world is not a bug to fix but the only benchmark that matters. Therefore, PAAG’s core truth is operational: if a geospatial model isn’t validated on the ground, it’s just a model.
