Workday Systems Analyst
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 DOE
Hybrid: Office attendance up to 3 times per month, scheduled at the individual’s discretion.
Role Overview
One of my clients are looking for a detail-oriented Workday Support Analyst to join their technology team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing their global HR systems. The position involves supporting multiple Workday modules, resolving issues, and partnering with internal teams to improve processes and workflows.
This role offers the opportunity to broaden your Workday expertise, contribute to system improvements, and work in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day functional support for Workday, covering core modules such as HCM and other areas including Time Tracking, Absence, Performance, Compensation, Recruitment, and Reporting.
- Respond to and resolve technical queries, service requests, and incidents within agreed timelines.
- Diagnose problems, propose solutions, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Partner with HR and IT colleagues to align system functionality with business requirements.
- Monitor upcoming Workday releases and evaluate the impact of new features.
- Assist with system updates, configuration changes, and associated testing activities.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation for processes, workflows, and system configurations.
- Support change control processes and ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Participate in improvement projects and contribute ideas to enhance system performance.
- Manage security permissions within Workday and address related access concerns.
Key Requirements
Essential:
- 1–2 years’ hands-on experience with Workday, with knowledge of HCM; familiarity with other modules is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of Workday business processes and configuration.
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Capable of balancing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in HR technology or HRIS support roles.
- Knowledge of global HR operations.
- Understanding of testing frameworks and release management.
- Exposure to Workday security role administration.
