Senior Workday Analyst
An established global professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Workday HR Analyst to support the transition of Workday from MVP into a mature, business-as-usual environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys deep configuration work, continuous improvement, and partnering closely with HR, IT, and the wider business.
You’ll be joining at an exciting stage, with several Workday modules already live and further functionality planned as part of an evolving roadmap Senior HR Workday Analyst (1)
Working model: Hybrid – 3 days per week on-site initially, reducing to 2 days once fully embedded in the team.
Salary: Up to ÂŁ80,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday across core HR modules, supporting the platform’s progression from MVP to full adoption.
- Take ownership of hands-on configuration, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to business needs.
- Support and optimise Workday Recruiting, Talent Management, and Performance Management, with involvement across the full employee lifecycle.
- Contribute to Workday product strategy and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to leverage new functionality from bi-annual releases.
- Act as a consultative partner to HR and business stakeholders, translating requirements into practical system solutions.
- Support BAU operations, including issue resolution, data quality, security administration, reporting, and integrations.
- Participate in testing cycles, defect tracking, and release management activities.
- Produce and maintain system documentation, user guides, and configuration artefacts.
- Collaborate closely with HR, IT, and governance teams to ensure adherence to change control and data standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Workday, with strong hands-on configuration experience across multiple modules.
- Proven background in Workday Recruiting, Talent, and Performance Management.
- Solid technical understanding of Workday architecture, including:
- Business process frameworks
- Security and role-based access
- Reporting, dashboards, and calculated fields
- Experience completing and validating EIBs for data uploads and corrections.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across configuration, data, and process issues.
- Experience supporting Workday BAU operations in a complex organisation.
- Involvement in requirements gathering, user stories, and process or journey mapping.
- Comfortable supporting Workday bi-annual release cycles, including testing and change impact analysis.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with additional Workday modules such as Absence, Learning, Advanced Compensation, or Benefits.
- Exposure to Workday Journeys and employee survey design.
- Experience improving HR processes through automation and workflow optimisation.
- Background working in a post-implementation or “Workday in BAU” environment.
- Experience supporting integrations and working alongside technical IT teams.
