Introduction: Cloud Student Homes is a national provider of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation in England. We focus on providing our students with more than ‘just’ their accommodation, providing the safety, security and social aspect of University life. The Housekeeper role is essential to a fully functioning team, in the provision of outstanding cleanliness and upkeep within our student accommodation sites. The role may require you to work in one site or across several student accommodation sites.
Main Responsibilities and functions:
- To assist in ensuring the building/s are clean and orderly for guests, maintaining the highest standards across all rooms, suites, common rooms, hallways, outdoor areas and entrances.
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as (not a fully inclusive list):
- sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuuming.
- cleaning kitchens including work surfaces, ovens, hobs and fridges.
- cleaning bathrooms including wash basins, showers, tiles and toilets.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- Check stock levels of all consumables, advise accommodation manager of low stock levels and order requirements and replace when appropriate.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper in hospitality venues with accommodation or student accommodation – the ability to deal with a fast-paced environment with a high number of check-ins and check-outs.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Customer oriented and good communication experience, ensuring every interaction is positive and helps enhance the student experience.
- Working quickly without compromising quality.
- Integrity and Attention to detail.
- Driving licence and own car preferred if cleaning across more than one site (Mileage and expenses covered).
Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures in accordance with legislation and ANUK Accreditation Scheme.
- Ensure adherence of policies and procedures in accordance with necessary legislation, HMO compliance.
- Comply with Health and Safety working practice in accordance with the company’s policy.
General:
- Any other duties as may be required by the Management Team.
