Location: London and surrounding areas (mobile role)

Hours: 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday (additional hours may be required)

Overtime/Callout: 1 week in every 4 weeks on-call, plus occasional weekends

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to carry out PPM, remedial and reactive plumbing works, including small project installs across occupied residential and office environments. This is a varied mobile role, ideal for someone who can fault find confidently, complete works to SLA, and maintain a professional customer-facing approach.

You’ll work either independently or as part of a two-person team, depending on the job requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out PPM, remedial and reactive plumbing works and complete worksheets in a timely manner to meet client needs
  • Complete project works, including heating and domestic services installations
  • Proficient in all aspects of plumbing, including screwed pipework fitting
  • Work within occupied dwellings and offices, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism
  • Fault find and diagnose issues, reporting clearly on what’s required to rectify
  • Work as part of a two-person team alongside an experienced Plumbing Engineer, or independently as required
  • Use the Asset Pro live reporting system, ensuring all assigned jobs are started and completed within contract SLA
  • Make recommendations regarding condition of plant and submit Life Expired reports if required
  • Attend training and Health & Safety courses as directed by the Contracts Manager

Callout Rota

  • Participate in the callout rota every 4 weeks, covering reactive faults:
  • Monday to Friday: 17:30 to 08:30
  • Weekends: Friday 17:30 through to Monday 08:30

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years post-apprenticeship experience
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level qualifications in Plumbing (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability
  • Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
  • Experience working in occupied environments (homes and offices)

Desirable

  • PTS qualified (desirable)
  • Gas Safe registered (desirable)
