An exciting and fast growing IT Managed Services provider is investing in the next phase of its managed services evolution. This is an internal contract role focused on strengthening and automating their Joiners Movers Leavers service for customers. You will join an established automation function and work hands on to improve how identity and access processes are delivered at scale using PowerShell and Azure native automation. This is not a customer facing firefighting role. It is about building robust automation that becomes part of a long term managed service. The initial contract is three months, outside IR35, with clear scope and ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance PowerShell automation to support Joiners Movers Leavers processes
  • Work with Azure Automation Accounts, App Registrations and Entra to deliver secure automation
  • Integrate with APIs including discovering new endpoints and implementing authentication methods
  • Ensure scripts follow agreed standards and formatting to align with existing automation frameworks
  • Collaborate closely with the internal automation team to improve reliability, reusability and consistency
  • Apply strong attention to detail to ensure automation is production ready and maintainable

Ideal Experience

  • Strong PowerShell development experience with a focus on best practice and readable, structured code
  • Solid hands on experience with Azure automation including Automation Accounts and Entra
  • Experience working with APIs including authentication and integration
  • Comfortable following established standards and contributing to shared automation libraries
  • Background in an MSP or managed services environment is beneficial but not essential
  • Desirable/Nice to have experience includes HaloPSA and Azure DevOps, but these are not essential for the role.
