A well established Microsoft Solutions Partner is building out a brand new Data & Analytics capability and needs a consultant to help shape it from the ground up. They already have a strong Microsoft footprint, a people centric culture, and serious investment behind this area as a long term growth bet.
The role is deliberately varied. You will build Fabric and Power BI solutions for customers, drive internal innovation projects, help cross train existing engineers into the Microsoft data stack, and grow into pre sales and solutions architecture over time. It is a build and shape role, not a maintain role.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver Microsoft Data & Analytics solutions for customers, with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI at the core
- Work across the Fabric stack including OneLake, Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering and Warehouse workloads, Real Time Intelligence and semantic models
- Build innovative in house solutions that showcase what is possible across Fabric, Power BI, Copilot and AI Builder
- Extend solutions into the wider Power Platform where it adds value, using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse alongside the data layer
- Help internal developers and engineers cross train into Fabric and the modern Microsoft data stack, raising capability across the wider team
- Run customer workshops and discovery sessions, turning business problems into practical data and analytics solutions
- Support pre sales activity including scoping, demos and proposals, with a clear runway to grow into a senior pre sales and architecture remit
- Promote best practice around governance, security, licensing, workspace and capacity strategy, and solution lifecycle management
- Stay close to the Microsoft roadmap across Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Copilot and AI, and bring that thinking back into the business
Ideal Experience
- Hands on experience designing and delivering Microsoft data and analytics solutions, with strong Power BI capability across modelling, DAX and report design
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, or solid background across the legacy stack (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks) with a clear move into Fabric
- Exposure to Power Platform, ideally including Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse, with an appetite to broaden further
- Solid wider Microsoft stack awareness across Azure data services and Microsoft 365
- Awareness of Copilot, Copilot in Fabric and AI Builder, and a genuine interest in pushing AI led analytics further
- Comfortable running workshops and presenting to both technical and non technical audiences
- Some pre sales or consulting exposure is useful, but the appetite to grow into that side matters more
- Good understanding of data governance, security and best practice within Microsoft environments, including Purview awareness
- Genuine passion for the Microsoft data ecosystem
