Senior VIP IT Field Engineer

This role sits with a well established UK managed IT services provider, working as a dedicated engineer for one of its premium customers in Central London.
It is a brand new position, initially on a 2 year fixed term contract that is likely to move to permanent. You will be out in the field across London delivering white glove IT support to the customer's VIP clientele, from senior executives to high profile public figures, at their homes, offices and events. Alongside that you will spend some time at the customer's Central London office, acting as a senior escalation point and helping shape how VIP support is delivered.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel across London to deliver white glove, in person IT support to VIP clients and senior executives at their homes, offices and events
- Support Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, peripherals and home set ups, both in person and remotely
- Prepare devices and connectivity for travel, manage mobile devices and SIMs, and lead the response to lost or stolen kit
- Support meetings, video conferencing and key events where VIPs need everything to work first time
- Set up and maintain delegate access across mailboxes, calendars and shared drives, and manage mailboxes through Exchange online archiving
- Spend time at the customer's Central London office as a senior 2nd line escalation point, working with the service desk and third party suppliers
- Help own end user standards for VIP devices across Mac and PC, and support the move to a single MDM platform
- Keep asset records and the CMDB accurate for the devices you look after
- Spot recurring issues and recommend improvements to how VIP support is delivered
Ideal Experience
- Proven 2nd line or field support experience that includes looking after VIPs, whether senior executives in large businesses or high profile individuals and celebrities
- Equally confident on macOS and Windows, plus iOS and iPadOS, including basic terminal commands and FileVault troubleshooting
- Strong Outlook and Exchange troubleshooting, particularly setting up and fixing delegate access
- Experience managing email and MFA on iPhones and iPads
- Support across Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom and iCloud, including video conferencing
- Hands on endpoint management with Intune, Jamf or Tanium (strength in any one of them is fine)
- ITSM experience, ideally ServiceNow, across incident, request and asset or CMDB management
- Good working knowledge of networking, Wi Fi, printing and meeting room technology
- Awareness of security standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus
- Calm under pressure, polished and completely discreet, comfortable walking into a high profile person's home or office and representing the business well
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car, although travel around London will mostly be on public transport
- Desirable: Exchange Admin Centre, asset lifecycle or CMDB clean up projects, MDM consolidation, and a background in premium service environments such as private banking, legal, luxury or hospitality
