Most BA roles split you across five workstreams and hand you a process map to update. This one doesn't; you'll operate at more of a consultant level from end-to-end of the process.
You'll take client processes from first conversation through to a live, automated workflow, and you'll do it end to end: discovery, design, estimation, build support, deployment, and training the client's team to run it afterwards. No handing off the interesting bits to someone else.
The business is a digital transformation consultancy working across cloud, data and application engineering. Seventeen people, profitable in year 1, on track for a multi-million Β£ profit in year 2. Founded and led by people with a long track record in consulting and genuine reach across financial services. This is an urgent hire, driven by client demand outpacing headcount, not a backfill.
Why it's worth a look:
- At seventeen people in the business, the work you do is visible and it matters. You won't be one of five analysts on an account.
- Genuine breadth: process discovery, requirements, workflow design, estimation, deployment and client enablement all sit with you.
- Live exposure to AI driven and agentic automation on real client engagements, not a proof of concept that quietly dies after the demo.
- Leadership with proper consulting pedigree and the network to bring in the caliber of client that makes this interesting.
- Room to shape how the practice delivers as it scales, rather than slotting into a process someone else already decided.
What you'll be doing:
- Identifying and prioritising client processes suitable for automation, and mapping them where the documentation doesn't already exist.
- Running requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder workshops.
- Designing high level automated workflows and turning them into something a delivery team can actually build.
- Estimating effort, resourcing and dependencies.
- Working alongside engineers and QA to get things into production.
- Training client teams to monitor and govern what you've built, then supporting it once it's live.
What we're looking for:
- A solid grounding in business analysis, whether that's from prior analyst roles, a graduate or analyst programme, or equivalent hands on experience.
- Confidence documenting processes and producing process maps that people actually use.
- Strong requirements elicitation and workshop facilitation.
- Real curiosity about technology and how systems are designed, integrated and delivered, not just an interest in the job title.
- Experience in a small team or early stage business, where owning outcomes and covering more than one role is normal, not a stretch goal.
- Strong communication across business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Self motivated, organised, and comfortable running several things in parallel.
- Awareness of what's different about AI driven and agentic solutions is a bonus, not a requirement.
If this sounds like the kind of role you've been waiting for someone to actually build, get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
