Halo ITSM Developer

πŸ“ UK remote with occasional travel to office (likely once a month)

Company & role

This opportunity sits with a well established IT solutions provider that runs HaloITSM as the backbone of both its internal operations and its customer facing service delivery. The platform was commissioned relatively recently and is now entering a phase of maturity, optimisation and expansion, including new customer instances and integrations with tools such as Zabbix, Torq and Entra.

They are hiring a Halo ITSM Developer to take ownership of the platform day to day, evolve how it is used internally, and support customer instances and integrations as the estate grows. This is a hands on technical role with real influence over how processes, workflows and reporting are shaped going forward.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Genuine ownership of a strategic platform rather than a maintenance seat on someone else's build
  • Scope across both internal and customer facing Halo instances, including multi tenant configurations
  • A platform that is still maturing, meaning your work directly shapes how it evolves rather than fitting into a fixed model
  • Exposure to integrations with modern tooling including Zabbix, Torq and Entra
  • Fully remote with only occasional travel, suited to people who want flexibility without losing access to a real team

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for Halo across internal use and customer instances, including roadmap input and platform direction
  • Own platform health, stability, performance and the underlying governance that keeps it running well
  • Design and build workflows, automations, SLA triggers and event driven notifications using Halo's native engine
  • Develop and refine the end user portal, catalogue and custom applications to improve user experience
  • Build reports and dashboards that track platform performance and business KPIs
  • Manage release cycles, upgrades and API integrations across Halo and connected systems
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for Halo related incidents and service requests
  • Lead training sessions, workshops and documentation to support adoption across the business
  • Enforce best practice, access control, security and change management aligned to ITIL standards
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into native Halo solutions

Ideal Experience

  • Strong hands on experience with HaloITSM, ideally including multi tenant or multi organisation configurations
  • Halo Advanced Administrator or Consultant level capability
  • Proven experience managing Halo release cycles, upgrades and API integrations
  • Solid background designing workflows, automations and end user portal experiences
  • Database and query expertise for Halo reporting, particularly SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and how they apply to a live platform
  • Confident stakeholder engagement, with the ability to translate business needs into platform solutions

Desirable

  • Experience migrating from legacy ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Remedy into Halo
  • PowerShell scripting experience
  • ITIL v4 Foundation or higher

If you have spent time inside Halo and want a role where you can genuinely shape the platform rather than just keep it ticking, this is one of the more interesting Halo seats on the market right now.
