Company & Role
This opportunity sits with one of the UK's leading Microsoft Solutions Partners, a business with serious scale, a large enterprise and mid-market customer base, and a Data & AI practice that has already been built out properly behind the scenes. The professional services capability is in place. Copilot adoption consultants, Azure AI engineers working across Foundry, and data engineers on Fabric have all been hired. The pre-sales team has been strengthened to match. What the business now needs is someone to sit at the front of all of that and turn capability into closed revenue.
This is a hybrid role by design. Part practice builder, part deal closer. You will help shape and evolve the Data & AI go to market, while owning and driving opportunities through to close, pulling in pre-sales and the technical teams as needed.
Why This Role Stands Out
- You are not the first hire into a green field. The delivery and pre-sales capability is already in place and ready to support you.
- A specialist seat at a partner that sells at real scale, meaning bigger deals, bigger logos, and meaningful enterprise customers.
- Genuine influence over how the Data & AI offering develops, this is not a script reading sales overlay.
- Sat right at the centre of Copilot, Fabric and Foundry, the parts of the Microsoft stack with the most customer pull right now.
- £65k OTE on top of a strong base, with realistic pipeline to hit it.
- Direct exposure to senior leadership and a clear runway for someone who wants to grow with the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Sit between the sales, pre-sales and delivery teams as the connective tissue across Data & AI opportunities.
- Own and drive opportunities through to close, partnering with Account Directors across multiple territories.
- Help build out and evolve the Data & AI offering, working with practice leads on positioning, packaging and go to market.
- Identify whitespace, qualify opportunities and shape pipeline across the existing customer base.
- Lead customer conversations, demos and workshops that articulate business value, not just product features.
- Pull in pre-sales, solution architects and delivery consultants at the right moments to shape the right solution.
- Stay close to Microsoft's roadmap and feed insight back into messaging, enablement and offering development.
Ideal Experience
- Five or more years in technology sales, with time spent in an overlay, specialist or solution sales role.
- Track record closing Microsoft Data & AI deals at enterprise scale, not just influencing them.
- Strong working knowledge across the Microsoft Data & AI portfolio, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Foundry, spanning data engineering, data security and agentic AI.
- Confident operating as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders.
- Commercially sharp, with the instinct to know when to lead the deal and when to bring the technical team in.
- Comfortable contributing to how an offering is built and taken to market, not just selling what is in front of you.
- Relevant Microsoft Fundamentals Certifications (Desirable): AI-900 or AI-901: Azure AI Fundamentals, DP-900: Azure Data Fundamentals, now covering Microsoft Fabric, AB-730: AI Business Professional.
If you have sold Microsoft Data & AI at scale and want a seat where you can shape the offering as well as close the deals, this is worth a proper conversation.
