The predicted salary is between 7800 - 9523 £ per year.
Part-time permanent contract 15hrs per week on a 2 week rota. Week 1: 9am-5pm Saturday and 9am-5pm Monday. Week 2: Friday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-5pm.
Salary range: £7,800.00 (age 18-20) to £9,523.80 (age 21 and over).

This role is based at our Oxhill Visitor Centre, where we provide guests with the perfect opportunity to enjoy a tasty treat, purchase unique souvenirs, and spend time with their favourite four-legged residents.

About the role
You will work in the centre’s Café (including the kitchen) and Gift Shop, serving guests and promoting sales and generating income. You will welcome visitors, introduce them to the charity’s work, and encourage donations and participation in fundraising initiatives, including the Adoption Club.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising – Visitors and supporters
- Deliver a positive and high‑quality visitor experience with the goal of recruiting and retaining Redwings’ supporters.
- Under the guidance of the Visitor Centre Senior Team Leader, welcome visitors, introduce them to the charity’s work, and explain how they can help make a difference.
- Generate income by encouraging donations, promoting fundraising initiatives, and highlighting key messages, including the charity’s adoption scheme.
- Ensure visitors have the opportunity to adopt and meet their chosen equine.
- Stay informed about the Sanctuary’s activities, including fundraising messages, new initiatives, appeals, and updates on rescues and welfare work. Communicate this information effectively to visitors.
- Café and gift shop
- Perform duties in the centre’s café, kitchen, and gift shop as needed, adhering to internal and external rules and regulations to ensure compliance and maintain profit margins.
- Under the guidance of your line manager, continually monitor displays, maintain stock levels, and comply with all related procedures.
- Be knowledgeable about the products, with an emphasis on those that are environmentally friendly and locally sourced.
- Always adhere to national hygiene standards and Redwings’ catering and Health and Safety procedures.

- Good standard of education and previous work experience.

Desirable criteria
- Food hygiene and/or First Aid certificate.
