Born in 2010, and distilled in the heart of our namesake city, our Edinburgh Gin brand has established itself as a pioneer in craft and wonder-filled flavour.
Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, excitement has been palpable as we have now opened the doors to our brand-new, state-of-the-art distillery at the Arches on East Market Street. This is where traditional craft meets innovation, and we celebrate the art of gin-making amidst breath-taking views of Edinburgh’s skyline.

Due to some internal moves, we now have a unique and arguably career-defining opportunity for an experienced Senior Brand Manager to join our team. Providing brand leadership and being the driving force behind the next chapter for Edinburgh Gin, the Senior Brand Manager will help us continue to deliver and refine a truly wonder-filled brand story!
As a Senior Brand Manager, you will be the champion for our Edinburgh Gin brand, leading and supporting our Brand Manager and Brand Executive in the development and delivery of the brand plans. We expect great things from you, especially as you will be representing one of our greatest assets! You will live and breathe both our IMD and our brand values, consistently exuding passion and enthusiasm.
We are looking for a brand manager who has significant commercial acumen and creative experience in leading agile, exciting and premium brands. Candidates should have experience with growing, recognisable FMCG brands (ideally within luxury brands and/or the spirits industry), building creative digital and social campaigns, managing external agencies, and knowledge of effective route-to-market pressures and requirements.
Our successful candidate will be an innovative and customer-centric brand leader, who is at home creating and delivering annual brand plans and strategies in a financially competent manner. The ability to navigate successfully and commercially around a P&L and operate across all levels are also key qualities.

ROLE SUMMARY
An exciting consumer-focused marketing role, championing the Edinburgh Gin brand internally and externally to drive and deliver the growth agenda against a clearly defined brand strategy and consistent brand plans for the UK and top tier markets (USA and GTR).
In conjunction with the Brand Manager, lead brand innovation across gin, liqueurs and RTD, and deliver the ‘filled with wonder’ brand communications campaign.
Lead the Edinburgh Gin brand team and effectively manage all stakeholders to improve brand performance and deliver the budget.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
Key Day to Day Activities
Annual Brand Planning & Delivery (50%)
- Lead the delivery of the exciting new ‘filled with wonder’ brand world for Edinburgh Gin to raise awareness, build desirability and strengthen brand performance.
- Manage and support the Brand Manager and Brand Executive in the delivery of the brand plan.
- Work with the UK team and priority international markets (US and GTR) to support the development and successful execution of performance-driven channel and customer plans.
- Position and communicate The Arches Distillery as the beating heart of the brand.
- Deliver the brand activity plan, ensuring sales goals, brand loyalty metrics and market share are met.
- Create and deliver NPD through Brand Manager, aligned to insight and supporting our commercial objectives.
- Build & present annual brand plans.
- Lead an effective and innovative communications and PR plan, aligned to brand growth.
- Develop Edinburgh Gin’s sustainability credentials through relevant communications, programs and initiatives.
Key City target consumer, outlet & opinion leader engagement (20%)
- Develop and utilise Edinburgh Gin CRM and social channels, working closely with the digital team.
- Amplify Edinburgh Gin’s sponsorship of events including The Fringe, Rugby and Horse Racing.
- Create experiential-led, engaging event activations, both B2C and B2B.
People Leadership, team coaching and development (10%)
- Coach, guide, and train the team, enabling space for the team to operate, learn and develop.
- Provide clear and inspirational leadership to ensure alignment around brand-first thinking.
Brand Home Support & Collaboration (10%)
- Close and collaborative working with The Arches Distillery senior leaders and experiential team.
Budget Management (10%)
- Coach direct reports on management of the A&P budget, ROI and achievements against predefined brand goals.
- Monitor, review and report on pricing, volume and margin performance against budget.

- Previous experience as a brand manager for a growing, recognisable FMCG brand (ideally within spirits industry/premium spirits).
Desirable
- Successful co-ordination of a brand across functions in a mid-sized business.
