About the job
You will be responsible for the preparation of Quality Related Documents, co-ordination of witnessed internal / client / third part inspections, preparation, submission and closure of Non-Conformance Reports and offsite inspection of Package Units and Engineered items & quality procedures and standards.
This role is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.
Main Responsibilities
- To work closely with the Project Manager and the rest of the Project team, Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and the End User to plan, implement and monitor the Inspection & Test Plans, Quality Procedures and Standards relating to the Packaged Chillers and Components for the Hinckley Point C and Sizewell C Chillers and Engineered items and for offsite inspection of the same.
- Preparation, co‑ordination and monitoring of Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Procedures and other Quality documentation required for the correct delivery of the project quality requirements,
- Carry out site inspections of equipment on order to confirm compatibility with orders and drawings,
- Carry out plant inspections at various stages of build to ensure quality and build in accordance with requirements
- Provide site reports to the project manager on visit with any actions required
- Carry out final inspections of pack build to ensure full compliance with JEH drawings
- Non Conformance Reporting Management of internal, supplier and end user non-conformances, working with stakeholders to ensure NCR’s are actioned and closed within agreed timescales,
- Review of inspection test packages during the course of construction activities and ensuring that all ITP Witness / Hold points have been fully completed and signed as required,
- Verification and inspection release processes and ensure compliance
- The preparation, review and submission of Life Time Quality Records, Manufacturing Record Book’s etc.
- Respect and maintain company confidentiality
- Comply with requirements of Health and Safety practices as outlined in the Company Health and Safety Procedures
- Submit all required paperwork within allocated time frame
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills including Microsoft products and systems
- Attention to detail is critical to this role.
- Able to travel frequently throughout the UK, and occasionally overseas
Required Experience
- 3 years previous experience of working within a similar role in a technical environment would be advantageous,
- Inspection / auditing experience. Lead Auditor Qualification is strongly preferred although training can be provided,
- Welding Inspection (CSWIP Level 3.2) preferred but not essential.
