Responsible for the management of the end-to-end bid process for a range of tender opportunities across our organisation and sectors (with a bias towards our creative and private sector clients), working with sales to successfully deliver market leading bids through to successful conclusion.
The successful candidate will work alongside the wider bid team to ensure clear visibility, awareness and governance of the overall bid process – keeping all stakeholders up to date on the status of each bid.
We require an exceptional candidate, capable of delivering a high level of creativity in bids to ensure market leading content and design is included, ensuring the APS brand stands out in a highly competitive industry.
We have not stood still as an organisation, and we require someone who will continue to drive improvements to the organisational process for bids to ensure an effective process is well managed throughout.
Whilst the focus will be on our commercial and creative tenders, we are looking for a team player to support where needed on public sector, professional services and secure communications bids for the Group as and when required.
We are also exploring the benefits that AI can provide in delivering efficiencies in our processes and to allow us to produce first draft responses and we are looking for an individual who can continue to push the benefits that AI can provide.
Key responsibilities
- To manage the full end to end bid process (from start to finish) to ensure we submit high-quality, innovative, winning bids.
- Ensure all stages of the bid process are followed and reported on (from qualification to post-bid review).
- Working with the team’s bid executive to oversee the administration and operational functions of the entire bid process including tender inbox, bid library, commercial bid process etc.
- Identify and manage resources from other departments required to work on live tenders including the sales team support provided.
- Provide full visibility of bid status and help to manage the resource modelling for all current and future bid requirements.
- Identify process improvements to manage through effective process improvements to drive better efficiencies.
- Look for improvements in process, technology or people requirements to support the continued development of a market leading bid team for APS Group.
- Understand the full Group proposition and able to articulate this effectively in all bid responses.
- Develop relationships across the Group to ensure a successful, collaborative approach.
- Communicate effectively with clients and prospects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the Group.
- Keep up to date with industry/competitor/client news and look at how this can be shared to support added value in bids and tenders.
- Ensure there is a high standard of creativity across all bids, making the APS brand stand out whilst also conforming to brand guidelines in all bid collateral developed
- Previous bid experience producing multi-service solution-based tenders
- Strong PPT design skills and ideally In Design when needed
- Capable of taking content from multiple sources/stakeholders and applying brand compliant creative pitches for presentations or tender submissions
- Using templates and Word styles, adapting to suit individual client requirements
- Exceptional communication skills, working with multiple stakeholders (board members, sales professionals, subject matter experts)
- Knowledge of working with AI agents (creating new and editing existing) beneficial as we continue our exploration of this technology to delivery greater efficiencies
