Join Nottingham Trams as we strive to become the Number One Tram Operator in the UK. We\'re recruiting an Assistant Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of the NET tram network, working closely with experienced engineering professionals across the business.
As an Assistant Technician, you will support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across our tramway system. Working on shifts which will include some weekend and night working. You\'ll gain wide-ranging experience and technical development under the supervision of our skilled Technicians, Engineers, and Managers.

Your role will focus on:
- Assisting Infrastructure Technicians and supporting with planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Gain practical experience across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines
- Ensure compliance with all safety, operational, and technical procedures
- Driving and operating road rail vehicles
You’ll work 40 hours each week, working various shifts covering 24 hours with a variety of start and finish times including night shifts.
What we’re looking for:
Essential Qualifications – Demonstrable engineering experience in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications - HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. (or a related field at a similar level). Current HGV Cat C licence.
Team Player - Effective team player with strong communication skills.
Experience - Working in a technical maintenance environment and can demonstrate technical competence in electrical/mechanical disciplines.
