Mission Design Team

As part of The Mission Design Team (MDT) composed of designers, a producer and embedded QAs, you will be responsible for many aspects of the game such as creating the first implementation of new missions, maintaining existing missions, and creating events for players.

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting‑edge videogames that defy expectations. We are currently developing Star Citizen, a record‑breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single‑player adventure set in the same universe.

What You'll Do

  • Design, document and implement missions and gameplay systems under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Work in various in‑house tools, including StarScript, a visual scripting editor, to create logic for missions, systems and events.
  • Work closely with other disciplines to plan and sort out dependencies to guarantee deliveries on time.
  • Actively seek feedback, iterate on your work and grow your craft within the team.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous industry experience on AAA or equivalent titles with a solid design portfolio.
  • A working understanding of visual scripting or coding fundamentals.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across disciplines.
  • A willingness to learn, take direction and develop your skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build relationships with other departments.
  • The ability to work with and respect frequent deadlines.

So, if you are an enthusiastic and self‑motivated mission designer please apply for this role immediately!
