About the Role: As a Lead Vehicle Content Designer based in our Manchester studio, you will be a driving force behind the development of vehicles and sandbox content for Star Citizen. This role demands a balance of high-level mentorship and technical execution. You will be responsible for professional growth and day-to-day management of your design team, ensuring they have the guidance needed to succeed while remaining deeply "hands-on" with vehicle implementation.

What does a Lead Vehicle Content Designer at CIG do?

  • Design and implement new vehicles and features for Star Citizen, ensuring Chris Roberts' vision becomes a reality.
  • Act as mentor and direct manager, reviewing work at various stages to ensure execution matches the vision, goals, and quality requirements.
  • Cleanly set up vehicles and gameplay systems using in-house tools, pushing the engine's capabilities to challenge player expectations.
  • Liaise with artists, animators, audio, and VFX teams to execute integrated game systems.
  • Pitch concepts, designs, and full proposals to project leads while identifying ways to improve toolsets and workflows.
