About the Role: We are looking for an aspiring Junior Lighting Artist to join our team onsite in Manchester. In this entry-level role, you will help us raise the bar for the gaming industry by bringing "Cinematic Sci-Fi Realism" to life across the vast solar systems of Star Citizen. As a Junior Lighting Artist, you will be a key part of the team responsible for lighting the diverse locations of Star Citizen. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills while working on everything from moody space stations to vibrant, neon-filled cityscapes.

What does a Junior Lighting Artist at CIG do?

  • Create believable, cinematic lighting scenarios for in-game locations under the guidance of our senior team.
  • Learn how to ensure high-quality lighting works seamlessly within defined real-time rendering budgets.
  • Work closely with the Lighting Lead and Art Director to help realise the project's artistic vision.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gain a holistic understanding of how lighting impacts the player experience.
