We are looking for a Data Pre-Sales Architect to join our pre-sales team. This role will focus on working closely with customers to help them plan their data platform strategy, modernisation, and migration to cloud-based Data & AI solutions.
On a day-to-day basis, you will support technical pre-sales activities, respond to RFPs, assist with proposals. You will also contribute to webinars, workshops, and customer events by presenting modern Data & AI solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cloud data services, modern data platforms, and data integration technologies. Core technologies include Azure Data Services such as Fabric, AI Foundry, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Purview and Power BI.
What you\’ll do:
- Participate in pre-sales activities with customers, internal teams, and technology partners to help secure new business.
- Provide data-focused support for sales opportunities, including solution design, estimating, and strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Deliver accurate and timely responses to RFPs and proposals, including technical design and costing.
- Present at customer workshops, webinars, and company events.
What you\’ll need:
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Azure Data Services (e.g. Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Cosmos DB, Power BI).
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Agentic AI.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments and Microsoft Purview.
- Knowledge of DevOps/DataOps Agile methodology and tooling.
- Strong enthusiasm for cloud data technologies and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to articulate the business and technical benefits of data‑driven transformation.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Experience with application and data modernisation strategies.
- Knowledge of analytics, AI/ML services, and real‑time data processing in Azure & Fabric.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.
- Certifications such as: DP-300: Administering Relational Databases on Azure, AI-102: Designing and Implementing an Azure AI Solution, DP-600: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, DP-700: Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Associate.
