Up to £80,000 base + Double OTE Hybrid (London / South East) | Cyber Security Services (MSSP)
If you’re a Senior Cyber Account Manager who enjoys growing relationships, not just managing renewals, and wants ownership that goes beyond a traditional “farmer” role, this one’s worth a look. I’m hiring for a high-growth, PE-backed cyber security services provider (MSSP) with a clear remit: own and grow customer relationships, expand service adoption, and convert partner-, vendor-, and marketing-led new opportunities through a consultative, solutions-led sales approach.
This is a Senior Account Manager role with genuine responsibility, blending account growth, expansion, and structured net-new opportunity conversion within an award-winning Microsoft and cyber-focused MSSP.
The role involves taking ownership of a portfolio of customers, responsible for retention, expansion, and long-term value creation, while also nurturing new opportunities introduced through partners, vendors, and inbound marketing. You’ll be trusted to build account plans, identify new use cases, expand service adoption, and develop relationships across multiple stakeholders, as well as progress warm new-logo opportunities through to first sale.
Key responsibilities (what you’ll actually do):- Account ownership and growth
- Own and develop a portfolio of enterprise and mid-market customers
- Land and expand accounts by converting initial engagements into multi-service, long-term relationships
- Build and execute account plans focused on retention, upsell, and cross-sell
- Grow ACV through renewals, service expansion, and deeper stakeholder engagement
- Consultative cyber security sales
- Sell across a blended cyber security portfolio, including managed security services and professional services
- Lead outcome-focused conversations with senior stakeholders
- Position cyber solutions in the context of business risk, compliance, and resilience
- Act as a trusted commercial partner rather than a transactional seller
- Net-new opportunity nurturing
- Progress warm new-logo opportunities generated via partners, vendors, and marketing
- Qualify, scope, and convert inbound opportunities through structured discovery
- Build early-stage relationships and take ownership through to first win
- Partner, vendor and internal collaboration
- Work closely with Microsoft and cyber vendors, channel partners, and MSP relationships
- Collaborate with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams to progress opportunities
- Ensure opportunities are well qualified, commercially sound, and deliverable
- 5+ years’ experience in cyber security and/or Microsoft security sales or account management
- Proven experience managing and growing customer accounts within an MSSP, Microsoft Partner, or managed services environment
- Comfortable balancing account growth with partner-led and inbound new opportunity conversion, roughly 50/50
- Strong understanding of sales discipline, qualification, and forecasting
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
- Cyber security sales experience would be a nice to have, including:
- Managed security services such as MDR and XDR
- Threat detection and response
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Data governance and data security
- Ability to position solutions against business risk and measurable outcomes
- Able to travel to London and/or Maidenhead HQ 3 to 4 times per month
- Comfortable working in a hybrid, relationship-led sales environment
