Great, because we’re looking for a Network Field Engineer to join an award winning IT Service Provider, who can take a network project from not working to running like a dream without breaking a sweat.

Responsibilities

  • Owning installations from planning to delivery
  • Resolving escalated support tickets both remotely and onsite
  • Working with sales to make sure proposals are technically spot on
  • Maintaining and improving our monitoring/alert systems
  • Proactive firmware and software updates on networking equipment
  • Occasionally working out of hours for downtime-sensitive installs or fixes

Tech you’ll work with

  • Networking fundamentals: L2 (ARP, MAC), IP addressing, subnetting, spanning tree
  • VPN tech: IPSEC site-to-site, SSLVPN
  • Copper (Cat5/6) & fibre cabling, FTTC, FTTP, leased lines

What you’ll bring

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and customer-facing confidence
  • Exposure to multiple firewall and switching vendors
  • Previous experience in a similar IT role
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Nice to have

  • Cisco CCNA or other networking certifications
