The Customer...

We have now been retained by a leading Microsoft Security Solutions Partner to build out their Business Development Manager capability. A global business and growing, they are a Microsoft Managed Partner, and sell successfully within Microsoft across SMC, Major Growth, Enterprise and Verticals. A Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) member and a finalist in the recent awards, they now need 2 new Business Development Managers to leverage sales opportunities with Microsoft UK's specialist team units selling services and solutions across:

  • Managed XDR Services
  • Entra ID (IAM)
  • Purview
  • Copilot for Security

The Role

Help drive, win and expand new Microsoft Security services customers through their journey at SMC, Major Growth, Enterprise and across Microsoft's verticals. Use your business development skills and Microsoft Security Services knowledge to gain new customers, building them onto their services journey (6-12-18 months) before working with the Account Management team to help manage down the line as part of this. Collaborate and communicate with newly engaged clients with the view to grow client accounts and provide a customer success and satisfaction. Engage with Microsoft stakeholders in specialist team units to explore the multiple co-sell opportunities to drive new customer opportunities. Build, develop and nurture Microsoft and customer relationships and work collaboratively. Attend a range of Microsoft events including private partner events and Microsoft security/specialist team events as well as live events and co-marketing initiatives to help create and explore new customer opportunities and build the organisation's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the growth of business within new accounts.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients and Microsoft.
  • Create and manage sales pipeline across both security services, consulting and presales.
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing clients.
  • Track varying metrics.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their security posture and identify solution and service opportunities.
  • Using expert knowledge to guide and advise customers on the best suitable security services and solutions.

Key Experience

  • Experience in full sales cycle including deal closing sales success.
  • Experience working with a Microsoft Managed and/or Professional Security Services.
  • Understand the Microsoft Security stack and enterprise licensing model across MXDR, Entra IAM, Purview, Copilot for Security.
  • Experience in discussing prospective solutions with customers.
  • Working to deadlines and have successfully achieved sales targets for security services.

Backgrounds considered

Ideally you will be experienced selling Microsoft Security Services/Solutions into new customers including knowledge and existing relationships within Microsoft for a Microsoft Managed Security Partner. If not, you may be selling Cyber Security Services that include some Microsoft Services and Solutions and would like to develop this and specialise in an elite partner environment. If not, you may be selling in a Microsoft Security Partner yet to gain the benefits of a Microsoft Managed Partner and would like to step up and sell with Microsoft into SMC, Major Growth and Verticals. If you're also selling Microsoft security services into the SMB/SME and enjoying success but would like to build this up to sell into SMC, Major Growth, Enterprise and Verticals then a 3rd role may exist for you.
