Hybrid (London / South East) | Cyber Security Services (MSSP)

If you’re a cyber seller who’s bored of "just hit target" roles with no substance... this one’s worth a look.

I’m hiring for a high-growth, PE-backed cyber security services provider (MSSP), with a clear remit: drive net-new acquisition, land and expand key accounts, and deliver sustained account growth through consultative cyber security solution sales, building a repeatable commercial engine that continues to perform as the market evolves.

This is a Senior BD role with real ownership: new-logo acquisition, partner leverage and pipeline strategy with the structure and accountability you’d expect in an award-winning Microsoft and Cyber Specialist MSSP.

The role

You’ll be responsible for systematic, sustainable client acquisition + expansion, evolving the approach as trends change, and converting opportunities into long-term growth. You’ll also leverage existing relationships and manage strategic partnerships across vendors and indirect/channel, using those routes to accelerate acquisition and new-logo wins.

Key responsibilities (what you’ll actually do)

  • New logo strategy & commercial discipline
  • Define and refine "best client" profiles based on profitability and growth potential
  • Build and run an acquisition strategy that is sustainable, flexible, targeted and diversified
  • Calculate and actively manage client acquisition cost (CAC) and improve efficiency over time
  • Actively manage website conversion performance as part of overall acquisition
  • Expand, and grow customer accounts
  • Land and expand key accounts: take ownership of early customer relationships, convert initial wins into multi-service engagements, and deepen penetration across stakeholders and service lines.
  • Drive sustained account growth: build account plans, identify expansion opportunities, and increase ACV through renewals, upsell and cross-sell aligned to evolving customer needs.
  • Sell consultatively across cyber security solutions: lead outcome-focused conversations with senior stakeholders, aligning managed security services and professional services to business risk, compliance, and resilience objectives.
  • Review and maximise growth routes via vendors and indirect/channel partners
  • Evaluate opportunities with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including international input where relevant
  • Ensure evaluations are thorough with clear opportunity and risk assessment
  • Maintain a strong network of cyber partners/companies and stay close to trends
  • Select and execute acquisition methods aligned to CAC and market conditions (content, social, search, email)
  • Support retention strategy (using churn insight) and build referral momentum via customer advocacy
  • Calculate and manage client lifetime value to guide acquisition investment decisions

What they’re looking for

  • 5+ years Cyber Security and/or Microsoft Security sales / business development experience
  • Experience delivering and achieving annual targets of £1m-2m ACV
  • Ability to "hunt" net new business, "land + expand" and "farm" existing account base.
  • Strong sales process knowledge, commercial judgement, and market awareness
  • High-quality communication, planning, networking, and relationship building
  • Proven experience selling a blended cyber security portfolio, including MDR/XDR and threat detection & response, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and data governance / data security solutions, with the ability to position each area in the context of business risk reduction and measurable outcomes.
  • Cyber security services credibility (MSSP / Microsoft Partner / Managed Security Services background is essential)
  • Ability to get into central London and/or Maidenhead HQ 3/4 times per month

Nice to have (based on the brief so far):

  • FSI exposure, vendor/channel-led selling
  • In Depth Microsoft Security Solution Selling
