This is a rare opportunity to step into an established, warm, and actively transacting portfolio of Microsoft-aligned customer accounts across Higher Education and Professional Bodies.

You MUST have experience managing Higher Education accounts in a Microsoft Partner. You'll be joining a Microsoft Partner trusted to deliver Microsoft Identity and Security solutions into universities, colleges, membership organisations, and chartered institutes across the UK.

Your role is to own, nurture, and grow those relationships; expanding footprint, increasing deal value, and turning existing engagements into long-term strategic accounts. This is not about cold hunting. This is all about account ownership and growth.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a Microsoft-aligned consultancy operating at the heart of the Microsoft ecosystem, working closely with Microsoft sellers, Partner Development Managers, and field teams. You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of Higher Education and Professional Body accounts, building on existing relationships and developing them into larger, more strategic partnerships over time.

Where You’ll Focus

  • Higher Education institutions (Universities, FE groups, research-led organisations)
  • Professional & Membership Bodies (Royal Colleges, Chartered Institutes, accreditation and regulatory organisations)

These organisations typically have:

  • Complex stakeholder environments
  • Long buying cycles
  • Heavy reliance on Microsoft technologies
  • A need for trusted, consultative account management

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership of a warm, active account book with existing relationships and opportunities
  • Manage, nurture, and grow customer relationships
  • Develop account plans to expand existing engagements into broader Microsoft programmes
  • Work closely with Microsoft sellers and PDMs to progress co-sell opportunities
  • Identify and shape new opportunities within existing accounts (upsell, cross-sell, expansion)
  • Lead opportunities from qualification through to proposal, SoW, and close
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and clear visibility of revenue performance
  • Act as the commercial point of contact, supported by technical pre-sales and delivery teams

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as an Account Manager within a Microsoft Partner
  • Experience managing Higher Education accounts
  • Strong understanding of the Microsoft sales motion (co-sell, funding, solution plays, marketplace)
  • Experience managing and growing existing customer accounts, not just winning net-new
  • Confidence engaging senior stakeholders across IT, Digital, and Transformation functions
  • A consultative, relationship-led sales approach
  • Track record of growing accounts and delivering consistent consulting or services revenue

Why Join This Role

  • Plug-and-play accounts: step into a live, invested customer base
  • Warm pipeline: deals already progressing — you’re accelerating, not starting from zero
  • Microsoft alignment: strong co-sell motion and established Microsoft relationships
  • Clear earning potential: realistic double OTE with genuine headroom
  • Long-term account ownership: build accounts that grow year-on-year
  • Support around you: technical pre-sales, delivery teams, and leadership backing your success

If you enjoy owning accounts, building trusted relationships, and growing Microsoft customers over time, this is a standout opportunity to step into a high-quality account base and make it your own.
