We are hiring for a UK-based Microsoft Solutions Partner with a reputation as one of Microsoft's go-to Azure Partners in the UK. The business is Azure-first, highly customer-led and focused on helping enterprise customers assess, migrate, modernise, secure, govern and manage Microsoft Azure environments.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Azure Cloud Engineer who wants to work across real customer environments rather than a narrow internal support queue. You will be involved in Azure migrations, modernisation, landing zones, cloud-native deployments, managed services, automation, DevSecOps and continuous improvement of production Azure services.
The role involves:
- Helping build, operate and optimise secure Azure environments.
- Working with established patterns and reference architectures.
- Collaborating with architects and senior engineers.
- Taking ownership of technical customer interactions across projects, managed services and proofs of concept.
- Operating, maintaining and improving Azure environments using the Azure Portal, PowerShell/CLI, automation and service management tooling.
- Implementing and supporting Azure landing zones, core platform services, networking, identity, management groups, Azure Policy, logging, backup and disaster recovery.
- Automating delivery using infrastructure as code and CI/CD, including Bicep/ARM/Terraform, Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Embedding secure-by-design, DevSecOps, cost optimisation, monitoring, observability and incident-response practices.
- Supporting customer migration and modernisation work across Windows, Linux, SQL and Azure platform services.
- Contributing to broader Microsoft outcomes, including Microsoft 365 identity/security tooling and emerging Azure AI services where required.
What we are looking for:
- Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure engineering experience across compute, storage, networking, identity, governance and monitoring.
- Experience delivering or operating production Azure services, ideally in consulting, professional services, managed services or enterprise environments.
- Good Azure networking knowledge, such as VNets, peering, Private Link/endpoints, DNS, VPN/ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall/WAF, Application Gateway, Load Balancer or Virtual WAN.
- Experience with Azure operational tooling such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Backup, Site Recovery, Azure Migrate and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Automation and infrastructure-as-code experience with Bicep/ARM and/or Terraform, plus PowerShell or Azure CLI and Git-based working.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines, approvals, secrets, artefacts and DevSecOps controls.
- Good stakeholder communication, clear documentation and a customer-first mindset.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, SC-200, SC-300, SC-100 or MS-102 are desirable but equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
Useful additional experience includes:
- Azure landing zones at scale, policy-driven governance or platform engineering.
- Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, Intune, Defender, Sentinel or Purview.
- Azure data, integration, serverless, app hosting or AI-enabled workloads such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search or Azure Machine Learning.
Package and working model:
- Salary up to £50,000.
- 10% bonus.
- UK-wide home-based role with travel to office and client sites when required (All applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom).
- Benefits package including private medical insurance, pension, lifestyle savings, gym discounts, financial wellbeing support, employee assistance, death in service, group critical illness, group income protection, reward and recognition, tech benefits and ongoing training support.
