Overview Bournemouth – fully onsite. We’re working with a Bournemouth-based Managed Service Provider looking for a Desktop Engineer to join their growing service desk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long‑term career in IT support within a hands‑on MSP environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing, configuring and deploying customer devices across desktops, laptops, mobiles and tablets, while also supporting the wider service desk team when required.
Responsibilities
- Building and deploying Windows desktops, laptops, mobiles and tablets
- Installing operating systems, Microsoft 365 applications and endpoint security tools
- Managing asset records, stock and lifecycle documentation
- Supporting hardware refreshes, repairs and decommissioning
- Preparing and shipping equipment to end users
- Logging and managing tickets through ConnectWise
- Escalating issues to 2nd line support with clear documentation
Qualifications
- Ability to work onsite in Bournemouth daily
- Genuine interest in IT support, endpoint builds or troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and good documentation habits
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Comfortable speaking with users and supporting customers
- Exposure to Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot or ticketing systems is beneficial
