You will be strategically owning, managing and expanding high-profile Central Government accounts where the relationships, credibility and Microsoft alignment already exist, then turning that foundation into deeper partnerships, larger transformation programmes and long-term revenue growth.

The Opportunity:
- You will join a Microsoft-aligned consultancy delivering enterprise-scale Identity and Secure Access transformation programmes into major Central Government organisations.
- The business already has traction across some of the UK’s most recognised government departments and agencies, with live and recent programmes spanning Microsoft Identity, Entra, secure access, governance, compliance and data protection.
- You will work closely with Microsoft sellers, Central Government account teams, Partner Development Managers and field teams to protect, grow and expand strategic customer relationships.
Where You’ll Focus:
- You will be the commercial lead for the Central Government market segment, owning strategic account plans across existing and target government customers.
- This means building deep relationships with senior customer stakeholders, understanding departmental priorities, identifying future transformation needs, and positioning the business as the go-to Microsoft Identity and Security partner for complex, high-impact programmes.
- You will also play a key role in strengthening the partnership with Microsoft’s Central Government teams, creating joint account plans, aligning to Microsoft solution plays, leveraging co-sell routes, and turning Microsoft relationships into qualified, high-value opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own and strategically manage a portfolio of high-profile Central Government accounts.
- Expand existing customer relationships across departments, agencies and executive stakeholder groups.
- Identify and develop new revenue opportunities across Identity, Secure Access, EntraID.
- Build trusted relationships with Microsoft’s Central Government sellers, account teams, PDMs and field stakeholders.
- Create mutually beneficial co-sell opportunities with Microsoft, aligned to customer priorities and funded plays.
- Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity identification and value design through to SoW development, negotiation and expansion.
- Partner with senior stakeholders including CISO, CIO, CTO, Risk, Digital, Transformation and Commercial leaders.
- Sequence programmes from initial assessment through to larger-scale transformation and multi-year managed growth.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, account planning and pipeline visibility across your Central Government portfolio.
- Shape the sector strategy across account development, campaigns, Microsoft alignment, events and executive engagement.
What You’ll Bring:
- Established and demonstrable relationships across Microsoft Public Sector and Central Government teams - this is a must-have.
- Proven success in a Strategic Account Director, Account Director or senior commercial role within a Microsoft Partner or Microsoft-aligned consultancy.
- Experience selling into, managing or expanding accounts across Central Government, Public Sector or large regulated enterprise environments.
- A strong understanding of the Microsoft sales model, including co-sell, solution plays, marketplace routes and funding programmes.
- Track record of delivering £1m–£2m+ annual revenue across Consulting, Professional Services or Transformation programmes.
- Confidence managing senior stakeholder relationships across government, Microsoft and internal delivery teams.
- A consultative, outcome-led sales approach with the ability to translate technical strategy into commercial value.
- Strong account planning discipline, with the ability to protect existing revenue while opening up new expansion opportunities.
