As an Enterprise Azure Platform engineer in this ludicrous Azure environment you will manage the new enterprise Azure critical national infrastructure.
- 5+ years of IT and Azure/cloud experience
- 5 years UK work experience or an existing SC level Security clearance
- Experience in managed cloud services in a large scale/enterprise environment
- Experience in Microsoft Azure Platform services (Compute, Storage, Networking etc.)
- Managing/Operating/Troubleshooting experience in Azure
- Azure Management - Azure Monitor, Monitoring Agents, KQL, ARM template, Azure Policies, IaC and deployment models
- Infrastructure as code experience, ideally Azure DevOps, ARM, Bicep, ADO - Azure DevOps
- Strong fault analysis/determination and problem solving skills
- Able to perform work under continuous deadlines
- Experience with ITIL compliant incident management
- Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
- Scripting experience with PowerShell
- Patch Management experience in the cloud
Ready to work with a customer support model in place. Demonstrate ownership of incident tracking, triage, mitigation, and resolution. Initiating process changes designed to improve efficiency. Partner with peers and stakeholders to improve tools, processes and customer support. Responsibility for achieving agreed SLA / OLA / KPI objectives. Manage the initial response and platform issues, triaging for Alerts, Incidents and Service Requests received. On call customer operations by engineers with specific knowledge about customer workloads including application, solution architecture and customer processes. Diagnose, investigate and troubleshoot issues on customer workloads hosted in Azure and partner with various internal and external teams across Microsoft and the client.
Writing, Testing, debugging and execution of Azure PowerShell scripts, Runbooks, Policies, etc., to enable Azure Managed Experience for select customers. Create and maintain documentation, operational documents and process documents. Contribute to Azure Managed Experience and solutions across plan, design, develop and maintain stages. Own and drive customer issues to resolution, identify patterns from customer issues and drive proactive problem management activities to reduce repeated customer incidents. Generate required reporting, documentation for measuring the initiative and contribute to stakeholder communications by providing relevant content. Contribute to Security/Compliance to bring the Azure Managed Experience initiative in compliant with various security/compliance standards like GDPR, ISO, SOC, etc. Monitor alerting noise, take actions and institute processes and tooling.
