We are proud to be partnering with a fast growing Private Equity backed IT Services Provider. An established technology business now into the early stages of their high growth journey and looking to hire another cyber security engineer.
This offers a unique opportunity to join a cyber security team and work in a varied security engineer role that will see you perform:
- Customer security assessments to review their posture in line with cyber essentials plus
- Manage security alerts
- Take security support needs from the service desk teams
- Work with the managed SOC team
- Conduct vulnerability scans
- Pen testing exercises
- Investigate support ticket scenarios that have flagged a security risk
- Work on ransomware breaches alongside the security manager
It would suit any experienced SOC analysts or security engineers who are bored in a repetitive role and want to really widen their security knowledge and day to day variety outside a straight SOC environment.
What you need:
- An understanding of MFA, security incident tickets, AD/Entra ID Identities and M365 security/Conditional Access
- An understanding of Cyber Essentials and the confidence to learn/undertake customer cyber security assessments/reviews
- An appreciation of the SOC team's responsibilities to work with the SOC team on incidents
- Vulnerability scanning
- Penetration testing
- An appreciation of broader cyber security engineering
- A background in customer support ideally with M365, Identity/Access etc.
- Good communication and documentation skills
