This is an opportunity to lead and grow a team, in a business that is a unicorn in every sense. Unreal Year on Year growth. Now, they are looking for an experienced Azure Sales Director to lead the growth of the business and scale out their new Azure Solutions Sales Team, focusing on Azure Data, AI and Apps.
The Role
As Azure Sales Director, you’ll take the reins of the Azure Data + Apps solution sales team, setting the strategic direction and leading the charge to achieve ambitious growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you’ll be pivotal in shaping how they engage with customers, Microsoft, and the wider Azure ecosystem. This role goes beyond selling—it’s about building relationships, influencing at every level, and leaving a transformative impact on clients’ digital journeys.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving Growth: Cultivate new business opportunities and grow our existing customer base.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement growth strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Partner Relationships: Manage co-sell partnerships with Microsoft and other key vendors.
- Solution Excellence: Confidently deliver presentations, scope projects, and create impactful proposals.
- Team Builder: Recruit, mentor, and develop a world-class team of Azure Solutions Executives.
- Thought Leadership: Represent the business with gravitas, influencing customer stakeholders from tech teams to the C-suite.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Expertise:
- A proven track record in Azure solutions, with experience in either sales or technical leadership.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Platform and Application Modernisation.
- A background with Microsoft or a Microsoft Partner is a must.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft’s business model, sales segmentation, and funding programs.
- Demonstrable experience working with Microsoft teams and a strong professional network in the Azure space.
- A minimum of 5 years in technical pre-sales, consulting, or related roles.
Bonus Points For:
- Existing customer relationships and a knack for end-to-end solution selling.
- People management experience, including mentoring and leading virtual teams.
- Azure certifications (AZ-900, SC-900, or equivalent) or a willingness to achieve them.
