Full-Time On-site
Cloud Decisions Ltd

Desktop Engineer | Microsoft MSP | Up to £30,000

Location: Bournemouth (5 days onsite)

Salary: Up to £30,000

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Looking to kickstart your IT career or take your next step into the Microsoft ecosystem?

I'm working with an established, Bournemouth-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) that's looking for a motivated Desktop Engineer to join their growing technical team.

Supporting a diverse portfolio of UK businesses across Microsoft 365, cloud services, cyber security and managed IT, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience with modern workplace technologies while developing your technical skills alongside experienced engineers.

The best part? You don't need years of experience or a long list of certifications. They're looking for someone technically curious, enthusiastic and eager to learn, with genuine opportunities to progress into 1st, 2nd and eventually 3rd Line Support.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building, configuring and deploying desktops, laptops and mobile devices across multiple customer environments.
  • Working with Microsoft technologies including Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot and Defender.
  • Installing operating systems, applications and security tools.
  • Managing device lifecycles, including hardware upgrades, repairs, deployments and decommissioning.
  • Assisting the Service Desk with 1st Line Support, troubleshooting and customer queries.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, asset records and support tickets using ConnectWise.
  • Working closely with experienced engineers to develop your technical knowledge.

What We're Looking For

  • Some hands‑on experience with Windows devices, desktop support, IT troubleshooting or hardware configuration.
  • A genuine interest in Microsoft technologies and developing a career in IT.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to commute to central Bournemouth five days per week.

Bonus points for exposure to Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID or Microsoft certifications such as AZ-900, MS-900 or SC-900.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Clear career progression into 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Support.
  • Microsoft certification pathway, including AZ-900, SC-900, MS-900 and MD-102.
  • Hands‑on experience across multiple customer environments and Microsoft technologies.
  • Supportive technical team, working alongside experienced 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Engineers.
  • Friendly, sociable office culture in central Bournemouth.
  • Real opportunities to learn and develop, rather than being stuck doing the same tasks every day.
