We are looking for a person who can lead by example and is excellent at engaging in a customer-centric model. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting cloud-based infrastructure, and ensuring optimal performance and availability of systems hosted on AWS. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to resolve complex cloud issues and contribute to ongoing improvements in their cloud architecture. You will work as part of our team of engineers, spreading knowledge and contributing to improving the efficiency of the company, whilst delivering a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of the Managed Services department helping deliver service excellence to customers and internal teams.
  • Provide technical support for AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, etc).
  • Serve as a technical expert on Google Cloud services (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM).
  • Work with tools like gcloud CLI, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring/Logging).
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues in real-time and provide resolutions in accordance with SLAs.
  • Monitor system performance and availability using AWS/GCP native and 3rd party tools.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Security teams to implement best practices and maintain a secure, scalable cloud environment.
  • Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Analyse system logs and identify potential issues or bottlenecks.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed.
  • Assist in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortems.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to engineering or product teams as needed, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Understand and deliver all technical aspects of the provided service offerings and work to become an SME in various technologies.
  • Contribute to knowledge base articles, runbooks, and internal documentation for support efficiency.
  • Produce technical FAQs and reference documents.
  • Help implement monitoring, alerting, and automation strategies to improve platform reliability.
  • Investigate and implement patching, automation, and efficiency tools and approaches where possible.
  • Adhere to Cloud-Bridge’s Policies, Procedures, and Values.
  • Report on progress to internal and customer stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working in a support-based/operations role utilizing a public cloud environment.
  • Demonstrable AWS and GCP skills across a depth of services.
  • Understanding of cloud services and infrastructure components (IaaS/PaaS).
  • Solid technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills across technical and operational process areas.
  • Strong time and task management with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in a customer-facing role.
  • An engaging and 'can do' attitude.
  • Willingness to learn on the job.
  • Willingness to work shift patterns and participate in on-call rotations.
  • Willingness to work in Cloud Bridge offices.

Desirable Skills

  • At least 2 years of extensive experience using AWS/GCP services.
  • Backup and disaster recovery experience in the cloud.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Operating system expertise on Windows and Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Amazon Linux, etc.).
  • Ability to create scripts in at least one scripting language (Shell, Python).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to other cloud environments such as Azure or private clouds.
  • Experience working within an IT Services or Managed Services provider.
  • Current valid AWS certifications (Associate, Professional, or Specialty).
