What you'll be doing:

  • You’ll become part of our specialist outsourced conveyancing finance team, supporting a portfolio of conveyancing firms across the UK.
  • Working closely with conveyancers, practice managers and business owners, you’ll help ensure every financial transaction is processed accurately, every client account remains compliant and every completion runs as smoothly as possible.
  • No two days are quite the same, but your role will include:
    • Processing client and office account transactions.
    • Managing the movement of client monies for residential and commercial property transactions.
    • Preparing completion payments.
    • Completing daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations.
    • Carrying out three‑way client account reconciliations.
    • Monitoring client balances and investigating discrepancies.
    • Processing SDLT, Land Registry and other completion-related payments where required.
    • Supporting firms with compliance under the SRA Accounts Rules.
    • Assisting with accountant's reports and compliance reviews.
    • Working with our clients to continually improve their financial processes.
    • Helping us deliver the exceptional service that CASS has become known for.

What we're looking for:

  • We're far more interested in attitude than job titles.
  • The right person will already have experience as a Legal Cashier, ideally within a busy conveyancing environment, but they'll also be someone who enjoys helping people and takes genuine pride in doing a great job.
  • You're likely to have:
    • Experience as a Legal Cashier.
    • A good understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules.
    • Experience supporting conveyancing transactions.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong organisational skills.
    • Confidence using technology and cloud-based systems.
    • The ability to prioritise during busy completion periods.

Experience using Xero and InTouch Case Management Software would be an advantage, although full training will be provided for the right person. We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable embracing technology and enjoys finding smarter, more efficient ways of working.
