WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: You are a passionate community engagement leader with proven experience building, growing, and maintaining engaged professional communities. You have a track record of converting community involvement into attendance and participation at events and activities. You're a relationship builder with strong stakeholder management skills, particularly experience working with senior government and NHS officials. You thrive in dynamic environments, manage teams effectively, and bring a strategic mindset and strong execution skills. You're passionate about health and community action, and you're committed to the value of community engagement and outreach.
THE ROLE: As Networks Community Programme and Engagement Manager, you'll be responsible for growing, engaging, and retaining one of the UK's most influential communities of NHS digital health leaders. Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll own the year-round community engagement strategy, lead the Community Engagement Team, and ensure senior digital health leaders see the Networks as an essential professional community and leading platform for connection, collaboration, influence, and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Leadership
- Own and develop the year-round community engagement strategy
- Build and maintain relationships with senior NHS stakeholders and government officials
- Support communities to become more cohesive, sustainable, and vibrant
- Identify new collaboration tools and engagement approaches
- Analyse emerging community needs and market trends
- Recommend improvements to engagement and growth
- Event & Activity Delivery
- Convert community involvement into participation at Summer Schools, Rewired, webinars, and networking events
- Deliver a minimum of 300+ delegate attendance at Summer Schools
- Identify speakers for webinars and events
- Work with marketing on targeted recruitment and retention strategies
- Oversee sponsor deliverables
- Growth & Development
- Identify new members and prospects through research and outreach
- Identify growth opportunities for new community specialist groups
- Develop segmentation strategies for different audience groups
- Maintain market knowledge to inform decision-making
- Team & Budget Management
- Lead and manage the Community Engagement Team
- Set, monitor, and review team targets and workload
- Manage the budget for all community engagement activities
- Report regularly to the MD on delivery and KPIs
ABOUT YOU:
Experience Required:
- Proven community engagement with measurable outcomes
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Track record of setting up and maintaining stakeholder partnerships
- Experience delivering community-based projects
- Experience developing strategies and action plans
- Working relationships with government stakeholders
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Self-starter with strong initiative
- Effective decision-maker
- Collaborative team player
- Interest in digital health or the health sector
