WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

CloserStill is a dynamic, fast-growing company that owns some of the UK's most successful trade shows. All our events have significant growth in both sales and delegate attendance. We have a team of the most dedicated and talented people in the industry, and award-winning marketers. We are seeking someone looking for an opportunity to join a marketing-led company that invests in its brands. We particularly want to see evidence of contributing to the development of marketing plans. Experience in marketing events is not a prerequisite, but the candidate must demonstrate project management on an extensive scale and experience managing direct reports.

THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to help produce and deliver the marketing strategy promoting our events to delegates and exhibitors. You will be a fluent English speaker working across the marketing mix to promote our dentistry events, taking place in the UK.

  • Work with the Group Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Event Director plus the wider team to develop and implement marketing strategy, positioning, key messages and product strategy.
  • Execute the marketing campaign(s) and report on effectiveness and results, ensuring all elements achieve required performance criteria.
  • Manage the creative/design process for marketing material, including updating existing materials and creating new material in line with the marketing strategy.
  • Work with the sales team to create sales campaigns focused on both new client growth and increased client retention, including messaging to drive revenue across all products such as digital, sponsorships and future revenue opportunities.
  • Develop strategic audience development plans and ensure marketing communications accurately reflect event positioning and key messaging. Lead on messaging and writing for outbound reach to customers.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop marketing campaigns, lead generation strategies and compelling materials for all revenue streams across live and digital products.
  • Work in partnership with the Content Lead to develop and align the content and marketing strategy, with regular checkpoints throughout the campaign.
  • Collaborate with the Content Lead on the planning, delivery and execution of the event app, as well as any virtual/hybrid proposition.
  • Ensure all relevant stakeholders, including Content Leads, have reviewed external marketing materials before sign-off, to maintain editorial consistency across show brands.
  • Regularly review the marketing plan, response rates/KPIs, attendee demographics and industry best practices, making recommendations and adjustments as appropriate.
  • Oversee and execute community building and social media strategies that drive engagement, interaction, brand affinity and audience experience.
  • Manage database and list development, with support from the business intelligence and data teams.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of key marketing statistics and forecasts.
  • Manage marketing budgets and purchase orders, liaising with Finance on reporting requirements.
  • Manage all planning and execution of the registration process for visitors.
  • Own delivery of delegate, visitor and attendee revenue generation, including development of pricing strategies and reporting.
  • Support the Group Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and Event Director in determining and executing business development strategy.

ABOUT YOU

  • Great writing skills in English. You will be working on events for healthcare professionals, so you should be confident in your writing.
  • Ability to produce creative and well-thought-out marketing plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time.
  • Strong IT skills and systems management, e.g. experience working with CRM and CMS platforms, databases, email marketing and marketing automation software.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and experience ensuring compliance in relation to email marketing and data sharing with third parties.
  • Able to identify search words and key terms to be used in data segmentation, based on industry knowledge.
  • Experienced in devising and implementing digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge and experience using digital marketing tools, e.g. Google Analytics, Google Ads.
  • Commercial acumen to develop sales-led marketing initiatives.
  • Ambition to develop your marketing career.
