We’re looking for a confident, relationship-driven Account Executive who enjoys speaking with people, building trust quickly, and creating value through meaningful connections. You’ll be commercially minded, proactive, and organised — someone who can manage outreach, nurture senior-level relationships, and take pride in delivering a premium delegate experience. You’ll be comfortable picking up the phone, asking the right questions, and understanding what matters most to each buyer so their time at ReFuel is genuinely worthwhile. You’ll also be a team player who works closely with marketing and operations to ensure everything runs smoothly from first contact to on-site delivery.
As Account Executive, you will play a key part in securing the hosted buyers who make our events exceptional. You will engage directly with senior fuel retailers and industry leaders, understand their aims, and ensure the meetings they take at our events support real commercial outcomes. This is a people-focused, commercially minded role that sits at the heart of delivering a successful OpenRoom experience. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing high-quality hosted buyers for ReFuel events
- Building relationships with fuel retailers, network operators, and senior decision makers
- Understanding business goals to shape tailored one-to-one meeting programmes
- Communicating the OpenRoom value proposition clearly and confidently
- Working with marketing on targeted outreach and messaging
- Maintaining accurate buyer data and pipeline tracking in the CRM
- Coordinating with operations for a smooth delegate journey from invitation to arrival
- Supporting event delivery when required, helping delegates maximise their schedules
- Contributing ideas that enhance the buyer experience and sponsorship value
You’re confident speaking with senior stakeholders and naturally strong at building relationships. You’re clear, persuasive, and professional in your communication across phone, email, and video. You bring resilience and a positive, proactive approach to outreach, with the organisation needed to manage pipelines and follow-ups consistently. You’re curious about how businesses make decisions, and you enjoy working collaboratively across teams to deliver a high-quality experience. You’ll bring:
- Confidence in engaging senior decision makers
- Strong communication skills (phone, email, video)
- A proactive, resilient approach to outreach
- Strong organisation and CRM/pipeline management
- Curiosity, commercial awareness, and a relationship-first mindset
- A collaborative approach across sales, marketing, and operations
- Experience in events, sales, recruitment, or account management (helpful, not essential)
We do not offer sponsorship for this role. CloserStill Media reserves the right to request a DBS or credit check should the role require it.

We are an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment based on merit without attention to age, ethnicity, religion or beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status or disability status. We are committed to ensuring an inclusive and accessible recruitment process. If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our HR team.
