Who We Are Looking For
UKi Media & Events is an international specialist event organiser and publishing company based in Dorking, Surrey. With a team of over 90 people, we publish 13 magazines spanning the automotive, aerospace, marine, meteorological and logistics sectors, and we’re proud to deliver world‑class events and publications to specialist audiences globally. Our new central Dorking offices are collaborative, engaging, and built for people who want to do great work. We’re looking for an experienced Media Sales Executive to join our publishing team and manage key accounts across two of our flagship titles: Automotive Powertrain Technology International and PMW. You’ll be a confident relationship builder with a genuine interest in the automotive engineering and motorsport sectors, and you’ll thrive in a role that balances account management with new business development (around 30% of your time). This is a full‑time, permanent role based in Dorking, with at least three days a week in the office.
The Role
- Generating digital and print advertising revenues across Automotive Powertrain Technology International and PMW
- Hitting and exceeding agreed sales targets
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and lead generation
- Building and developing strong relationships with an existing client base, understanding their advertising goals and delivering tailored solutions
- Preparing high‑quality proposals and client correspondence
- Attending relevant industry events for networking and lead generation, as well as UKi's own events where relevant
About You
- Experience in B2B media sales, ideally with a background in print and digital advertising — although candidates with strong transferable skills are encouraged to apply
- A commercially driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals
- Confident prospecting and lead research skills, with a proactive approach to building your pipeline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; you write persuasive pitches and build trust quickly with international clients
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple accounts and priorities without dropping the ball
- Comfortable with digital analytics and using data to shape campaign recommendations
- Proficient in Salesforce (or keen to get there fast) and open to adopting new tools and platforms
- A collaborative team player who also knows how to drive things forward independently
- Curious about the automotive and motorsport industries and motivated to deepen your knowledge over time
- Happy to travel to events and represent the publications in person
