Who We Are Looking For

UKi Media and Events are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Manager to join the team behind Advanced Maritime Technology Expo — an exciting rebrand of Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo, which has been at the forefront of maritime decarbonisation for over 10 years. The new format covers four key pillars: Electrification, Automation, Infrastructure and Regulation, bringing together all areas of innovation in maritime technology. You will be responsible for meeting daily sales targets and working closely with the Portfolio/Event Director to drive the event's financial success. You’ll be collaborative by nature, keen to immerse yourself in a growing and dynamic sector, and comfortable working across multiple teams, including operations, marketing and content. This role is based in Dorking, on a hybrid basis with 3 days per week in the office.

The Role

  • Manage day‑to‑day sales on the show, including supporting junior sales staff where appropriate.
  • Deliver personal sales targets and proactively drive new and existing business in line with the show strategy.
  • Work with the Portfolio/Event Director to deliver the campaign strategy, covering exhibitor numbers, stand sales, sponsorship inventory, yield and sponsorship revenues.
  • Contribute to sales, show meetings, and develop ideas for additional revenue streams.
  • Manage and run the rebook process alongside the Portfolio/Event Director.
  • Maintain and update the prospect database in line with the company's CRM policy.
  • Visit competitor and industry events to canvas for new business and monitor market trends.
  • Manage the event floor plan and identify profitable show features.
  • Maintain an accurate stand and sponsorship ledger, and provide weekly revenue forecasts and reports.
  • Work with operations and marketing teams to ensure smooth event delivery and strong exhibitor and visitor experiences.
  • Manage key industry partnerships in conjunction with the Portfolio/Event Director.
  • Travel to the AMT exhibition and potentially support rebooking at other UKi/Closerstill Media events.

About You

  • Proven experience in exhibition and sponsorship sales with a strong track record of sales growth.
  • Confident in both telephone and face‑to‑face sales environments.
  • New business hunter with excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Experience working with Floorplan Live and Salesforce (or similar CRM).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Highly organized, target‑driven and able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working in an open, supportive office environment.
  • Curious about and engaged with the world of maritime technology, decarbonisation and innovation.
  • Based within a commutable distance of Dorking, able to work in the office 3 days per week.
