Job Purpose

As Marketing Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the marketing efforts for a portfolio of trade exhibitions and magazines.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager and both internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at maximizing attendance, engagement, and overall success of our events and the growth of our publications.

  • Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns to promote the exhibitions across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and print
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing materials are developed and distributed effectively, on time and on budget
  • Create and execute email newsletters and partner emails and report on results
  • Develop relationships with internal partners to leverage promotional opportunities within our own publications and external partners to broaden our reach through collaborative marketing and contra deals
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, industry trends, and competitor activities
  • Utilise analytics tools to monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation
  • Update website content
  • Support the sales team with exhibitor promotion, developing materials and creating campaigns
  • Work with the data team in the development and maintenance of our marketing databases

Provide general support to the marketing department as needed.

  • Key Duties
  • Content creation: Drafting compelling copy for promotional materials, website content, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Campaign management: Assisting in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing initiatives across multiple platforms.
  • Research and analysis: Conducting market research, analysing data, and preparing reports to inform decision‑making and strategy development.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with cross‑functional teams, including sales, operations, and design, to ensure alignment and synergy in marketing efforts.
  • Event support: Assisting with on‑site marketing activities during trade exhibitions, including signage placement/visitor experience, gathering testimonials and social media content.
  • Key Skills Required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with great attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, social media scheduling tools, website CMS systems, Email Service Providers/CRMs, etc.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing principles and platforms, including Google Analytics
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
  • Creative thinking and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
