About Us
We’re a sales & go-to-market recruiting agency that specializes in working with fast-growing startups. If you're exploring your next move, we might have just the opportunity for you...including this one!
About the Company
We’re partnered with a high-growth Series B infrastructure startup operating at the intersection of payments, security, and developer tooling. They’ve built a platform that allows companies to collect, process, and store highly sensitive payment data without taking on the massive compliance burden that typically comes with it. In simple terms, they help businesses move fast without breaking security or getting crushed by PCI requirements. Their customers range from fast-growing fintech companies to large-scale payment platforms, all dealing with the same expensive and complex problem. They grew revenue 3x last year while scaling the sales team from 3 to 11 (with offices in Dublin, London, and New York). They’re entering this next phase with strong momentum, proven demand, and a clear focus on continuing that growth.
About the Role
They’re hiring an Account Executive to help drive the next phase of growth. This is a true full-cycle, outbound-heavy role where you’ll own deals from first touch through close across both mid-market and enterprise accounts. The product is API-first and infrastructure-heavy, which means you’re not relying on a polished demo to win deals. Success comes from strong discovery, understanding how systems actually work, and guiding technical buyers through complex decisions. You’ll be selling to CTOs, Heads of Payments, and engineering leaders who expect you to speak their language.
What You’ll Do
- Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting into payments companies and businesses handling card data
- Run deep discovery on customer infrastructure, compliance gaps, and business drivers
- Lead demos and technical conversations around tokenization, PCI scope reduction, and payment workflows
- Manage multi-threaded deals across technical and executive stakeholders
- Drive pilots and technical validation processes with engineering teams
- Build business cases around cost savings, compliance risk, and developer efficiency
- Partner closely with sales leadership on deal strategy and positioning
Must Have
- Based in the London area and willing to work hybrid (3 days/week)
- Proven success in a startup or high-ambiguity environment
- Strong discovery skills and the ability to win without relying on a demo
- Experience in one of the following: API / infrastructure / developer tools sales
- Payments or card data (PCI, payment flows, payment infrastructure)
- Comfortable running both fast-moving and complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Willing to generate your own pipeline through outbound
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to engineering teams, CTOs, or technical buying committees
- Background in both payments and infrastructure
- Familiarity with usage-based pricing models
- Experience working closely with Solutions Engineers
- Background in API-first or highly technical products
