Our client - a national precision engineering organisation based in the Cheadle area, is looking to recruit an experienced Goods In / Dispatch / Shipping Coordinator on a temporary basis. This role has arisen due to a recent restructure and offers a long term contract/temp post. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipting of all incoming goods into stores and other stock control duties, specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unloading deliveries using Forklift truck
  • Moving parts from main warehouse to the production line
  • Goods inwards and receipting of stock
  • Location of stock, issuing shortages, stock counts etc.
  • Interacting with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues
  • General kit picking and packing duties
  • Outbound shipping
  • Working to teams KPI’s to control processes and key materials
  • General housekeeping

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven, checkable experience in a similar role
  • Full, clean driving licence is essential
  • Current Counterbalance forklift Truck licence is essential
  • Communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate and numerate
  • Physically fit enough to undertake the role
  • Careful and thorough attitude with a good work ethic
