Join the Close Brothers Energy Finance team, where as Portfolio Operations Specialist you will provide an effective service to our customers and support for the wider team throughout the full lifecycle of our customer journey. This primarily involves processing documentation for financial agreements, facilitating pay-outs and managing the 'in-life' journey of our customers. We are looking for someone with a strong administrative background, who has a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Previous experience working with legal documentation and/or financial agreements would be beneficial and a passion for renewable energy is essential!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all aspects of onboarding of new customers and the maintenance of existing customer files in line with Bank policy, ensuring data accuracy is maintained.
- Take ownership and become a Champion of Bank systems such as Alfa, Salesforce etc.
- Process loan drawdowns in line with agreed service levels and cut-off times.
- Monitor and process fees and payment of professional adviser invoices.
- Ensure all payment requests are processed efficiently and submitted to the relevant team prior to agreed cut-off times.
- Receive and respond to enquiries from our customers by email or telephone, addressing these effectively and in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the wider Energy team with routine tasks and ad hoc requests/projects as required.
- Processing and provision of external Audit requests and Bank statements to Energy customers when required.
- Understand the main risks arising in your area of responsibility, how to mitigate them and escalate where required.
- Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience in providing excellent customer support and transferable skills from a previous role, ideally in a similar financial environment.
- Proven experience of working proactively and taking initiative.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
- Strong numerical skills and analytical ability.
- An interest and desire to progress in the Renewable Energy Sector.
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills, quickly developing and maintaining relationships at senior level, with internal and external stakeholders.
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU POSSESS:
- Experience / knowledge of Development / Project Finance.
- In depth knowledge of Bank systems (ALFA, Salesforce, Tableau, Experian, World Check).
- Knowledge of the Energy sector and technologies.
